City Polka Boy's 50th Anniversary Celebration

What a great day it was. The City Polka Boys (Texas Sound Check Band) finally was able to celebrate 50 years of playing music. It was great to see Benny Okruhlik, Wesley Matus, and Dennis Fajkus. They even got up and played a few songs, along with family and grand kids. The group was also awarded a certificate from Gov. Abbott for celebrating 50 years. Congratulations.

Hostyn - St. Mary's Church Picnic

Join the Texas Sound Check Band and Czechaholics on Sunday, May 1st for the annual St. Mary's Spring Church Picnic. Music begins at 11am with TSC and

3:30pm with CZ.

Come join the fun.

Memorial Weekend 2022

Memorial weekend will once again be very busy for the Texas Sound Check Band. Saturday, May 28th, TSC will be at the National Polka Fest in Ennis from noon till 3:30pm on the main downtown stage. On Sunday, May 29th, TSC will be at the KC Hall pavilion in Hallettsville for the annual church picnic. Join the Red Raven and TSC from 1-7pm for some great music and dancing.

Welcome Henry Machicek

The TEXAS SOUND CHECK BAND would like to welcome Henry Machicek to the band. Henry is Benny's nephew and plays accordion. Henry previously played with the Praha Brothers and will join the band now in January.
